Using a grant from Pub Charities, a charitable foundation for dispensing gaming machine profits, EVSA in 2004  purchased four  mobility scooters and a transportation trailer.

EVSA is working in liaison with Papakura RSA to make the scooters available to vets with mobility problems who reside locally.

The scooters are available to Vietnam Veterans in the Auckland metropolitan area, and to Papakura RSA members.  Priority is given to Vietnam Veterans.

Administration of the scooters is the joint responsibility of EVSA and Papakura RSA, which has provided a home base for storing the scooters and trailer.

There is a charge of $25/month for the loan, to cover maintenance and depreciation costs.
